Emergencies — a kicked-in door, a smashed panel, a business that can't lock up — get a 30–45 min arrival anywhere in Mississauga. Scheduled repairs are usually same-day, and full door or frame replacements are next-day once the material is confirmed.

What does the service call actually cost?

Accepted Answer

$29 flat covers the trip and the on-site diagnosis, waived when you book the repair. Repair cost depends on the door, the frame and the hardware, and you get the full number before any tool comes out of the van. No fuel surcharge, no after-hours multiplier, no "starting at" pricing.

My door was kicked in. Can you secure it tonight and repair it later?

Accepted Answer

Yes, and that's often the right sequence. We board up or temporarily re-secure the opening the same night so the property is closed and lockable, then come back with matched jamb stock, steel reinforcement and hardware to do the permanent rebuild in daylight. You get photos and an itemized invoice for the insurance claim either way.

Do I need a whole new door, or can the frame be repaired?

Most forced-entry damage is frame damage — the jamb splits along the strike and the slab and lock come through fine. That's a repair. We replace the slab when it's cracked through, delaminated, or so warped it won't seal. You get told which one it is, with the reason, before anything is ordered.

Why does my Mississauga front door stick every spring and fall?

Two causes here, both seasonal. Freeze-thaw pushes moisture into the bottom of the jamb and the sill, the wood swells, and the door binds; and the house itself moves a few millimetres, so the strike no longer lines up with the latch. Fix is usually hinge re-anchoring, strike realignment and sealing the jamb — an hour of work, not a new door.

My patio door takes two hands to open. Is that a replacement?

Almost never. Flat or seized tandem rollers cause it, sometimes with a bent track. We replace the rollers, straighten or cap the track, reset the height and the door glides on one finger again. A sealed-glass or frame failure is a different job, and we'll say so if that's what it is.

The glass in my door is smashed. Do I need a new door?

Accepted Answer

No. In a door the glass sits in stops and gaskets, so it comes out and goes back in without touching the slab or the frame. We clear the broken glass, board the opening the same visit so the property is closed, measure the daylight opening, then set new tempered safety glass and re-seal it. Same applies to a cracked sidelite next to the entry door.

My patio door glass is foggy between the panes. Can that be fixed?

That's a failed sealed unit — the two panes are fine, the perimeter seal that held the gas between them let go, and moisture condensed inside. It can't be dried out or re-sealed; the unit gets replaced with a new double-pane made to the same size and thickness. The door, the track and the hardware all stay. Usually one visit to measure, one to install.

Do you replace storefront glass for a business?

Accepted Answer

Yes — entrance doors, glass panels beside them and storefront lites in retail, restaurant and office units. Break-ins and vandalism get a board-up right away so the unit can trade or lock up, and the glass goes in once the size and type are confirmed. Where the door needs impact or fire-rated glazing we quote laminated or wire glass instead of plain tempered.

Can you reinforce the door so it doesn't happen again?

That's the part most people skip. Standard practice for us after a break-in: a full-length wrap-around steel jamb reinforcement, a 6-inch strike plate anchored with 3-inch screws into the stud, and a latch guard on outswing doors. It costs a fraction of the repair and it's the difference between the door holding and the jamb exploding.

Is there a warranty?

Accepted Answer

Written warranty on labour and parts, in writing, on the invoice. If the repair we did doesn't hold, we come back — no second service call.

Do you work on commercial and storefront doors?

Accepted Answer

Daily. Hollow metal doors and frames, aluminum storefront with bent continuous hinges and pivots, deadlatches, panic and exit hardware, and heavy-duty closers sized to the actual traffic. We also set up scheduled inspections for property managers and multi-unit plazas.

Do you do garage doors, car doors, or access control?

Accepted Answer

No. Doors, frames and mechanical door hardware are the whole business. Garage doors and openers, vehicles, and electronic access control systems are outside what we take on — you'll get a straight no on the phone rather than a wasted call-out.
